You're Hired!

So, after four beautiful months of blessed unemployment and free loading off the government, it's back to work. Many of you already know that APLA, or AIDS Project Los Angeles, did call me back and hired me. Yay! I'm finishing week three today and so far, so good. For those of you interested, my official title is "Development Associate, Donor Relations". In other words, I work in the fundraising department and do lots of little jobs, admin, correspondence, accounting, yadda yadda... Anyway, this place is cool and everyone is super friendly and I will soon be attending fundraisers where I can rub elbows with celebrities :)

Also, my new job is in Koreatown, which means I have to drive to work. So I bought my first car...ever! I am now the proud owner of a black '03 Nissan Altima 2.5S with just under 18,000 miles on it (well, actually the bank owns most of it). It rocks! I will get some pictures of it up here eventually.

In other news, we are still couchless! Jason and I have opposite work schedules now, making furniture shopping nearly impossible. Our apartment is so ghetto fabulous right now, we really need to get some damn furniture.

Signing off... And remember: You're good enough, you're smart enough, and doggone it, people like you!

Thanks Leah. I love Al Franken and almost everything he's done. Except that movie Stuart Saves His Family. Wayne's World was the exception; most SNL sketches don't make good feature length films. They should have learned their lesson by now.
Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them was hilarious. I don't think Al likes Ann Coulter very much. Go fig.

Yeah no one likes that lady! Remember when she was almost pied! oh that was classic.
I haven't read that book yet, but it is on my list of to gets. I am still trying to make time to read Kitty Kelley's book. I think the fulllength movies are fun but only one time, there is no way you can but the DVD an watch it again and again, but then again I loves me my dumb stupid movies :o)
I'm so glad you found my blog! It is super slow in the office so I am going to read yours today.
