Lunching, LA Style

Two of my co-workers in my department have birthdays this week, so we celebrated by taking them out to lunch at Luna Park. And guess who walks in half way though our meal? It’s Sean Hayes from Will and Grace. And that’s all I have to report, sorry I have nothing more interesting to say like he picked his nose while eating or something like that.

Lunch was excellent and the cake was even better. I’ve been in a food coma for the last few hours and am looking forward to getting the hell out of here. Tonight we’re going to see Toots and the Maytals with Elijah Emmanuel and The Revelations at the Sunset Strip House of Blues

No, but that would have been funny :) If I run into a celebrity I'm usually trying so hard to not make an ass of myself that I just kind of look at them out of the corner of my eye and try to avoid staring. Because that's not sketchy at all ;)

Hi Laurie! I do want to come SnB again, when are the monthly Saturday ones? Once Dexter is done with doggy class my Saturday mornings are free again for a while.

I SO want to come to LA and have some star sightings.
The ONE time I visited LA was to visit a cousin at UCLA so I spent the entire weekend at her dorms in Westwood and saw NO ONE

im the same way shanani...if i see a star i try not to look. but i find it quite surreal to see a celebrity in person. you've seen them all your life behind the screen and then THERE THEY ARE!

i served Lorretta Swit at the animal sanctuary a while back.

she needed to stay behind the screen. did WAY too much work. she looked scary. but she's all right in my book since she's always fighting for such a good cause.

Speaking of restaurants...

Have you been to Native Foods? I have driven up from San Diego a couple of times to the one in Costa Mesa. OMG, sooooooooo good... The one by UCLA has none of the ambience but the food is still outrageous.

I heart Native Foods! We always stop there for lunch whenever we go to Maloney's to watch the Badger games during football season. For the best darn (although not vegan or healthy) ice cream sandwich in all of Los Angeles you should stop by Diddy Riese, it’s in the same neighborhood. You can pick your own 2 cookies and ice cream and it’s only $1!

Wow, what a deal. I teeter on veganism but before I make the full conversion to no dairy, I'll make the trip some time. Thanks, shananigans.

Still lovin' yer blog!
