Hope everyone has a super fun and freaky Halloween. Truly one of my favorite holidays, I love it. We're heading to West Hollywood tonight to party it up.

Sorry I've been so absent. I have a backlog of stuff to post about but no time. Hopefully I'll catch up after the move. We start our drive in just 5 days! Boo!

Filler

Here’s one of those delightful memes or tags or whatever you want to call them. I received this in e-mail form and saw it over on C.A.P. so I must now complete it instead of being productive for the last 20 minutes of the working day.

Four jobs I’ve had:
* Baker
* Downtown Madison Ambassador
* Restaurant/catering manager
* Development Associate

Four movies I can watch over and over:
* Wayne’s World (I know, I am so old)
* Chasing Amy
* Ferris Bueller's Day Off
* Hairspray

Four places I have lived:
* Madison, WI
* Laitila, Finland
* Bethesda, MD
* Los Angeles, CA

Four television shows I love to watch:
* LOST
* The Dog Whisperer
* American Idol (shut up!)
* The Daily Show followed by the Colbert Report (it’s all one viewing session therefore counts as one show to me)

Four places I have been on vacation:
* Costa Rica
* Euro Tour ’97 (includes Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, France, Italy, and Austria as far as I can remember, which isn’t much)
* Orlando, FL (my first trip on a plane)
* NYC

Four of my favorite dishes:
* Vege chicken from California Vegan, good in nugget and sandwich form
* Chana Masala
* Pizza, I am an addict and need help
* Veggie burritos or tacos with a heaping of guacamole. Mmmmm, guac…

Four websites I visit daily:
* msn.com for the news
* gofugyourself.com – laughing at celebrities is like a sport to me
* craigslist.com
* 3fatchicks.com – accountability helps

Four places I would rather be right now:
* At the beach reading with maybe a cocktail
* Madison, WI drinking up fine local microbrews with buds (coming soon to a reality near you!)
* Curled up on the couch watching quality programming with my sweetie
* Taking a nap with the dog

Four bloggers I am tagging:
I tag one and all. Have fun!

Upcoming, pictures from AIDS Walk 2006 and maybe even some food. Stay tuned…

And then my life blew up

As you may have noticed, I have been absent for some time. I had the honor of being a bridesmaid in my sister’s wedding back in Wisconsin and we took a little side trip to Madison. The wedding was so beautiful and everyone had such a great time, I’m really impressed with all the work my sis put into the whole thing. It was also really nice to spend some time with my family and introduce Jason to my hometown. Here are some pictures of the week’s goings-on.

Madison

Also, the time has come to share the big news. Jason and I are moving back to Madison! We were kind of talking about moving back in the spring perhaps, but then life happened and a pretty darn exciting job opportunity was offered to Jason. So he interviewed and was formally offered the job when we were in town, I interviewed for a couple positions and am waiting to hear back, and we looked at several places to rent and are in the process of signing a lease. Looks like we’ll start our drive on Nov. 4 or 5. We’re really excited to be going back, but also sad to leave our friends and the famously mild SoCal climate. So, that’s about all I have to say about that right now. There will of course be updates as this comes along.

On Wisconsin!

A whole week since I’ve posted. Bad blogger, bad!

I had a pretty fun weekend. On Friday night we went to this sorority party in Brentwood that got busted by the cops, I felt like I was 17 again. I was pretty drunk off the Bud Lite keg by the time we were all getting shoo’d outta there, and I was laughing so hard at the absurdity of the whole situation. Even funnier: the party was on the 3rd or 4th floor, and on the way out from the stairwell there was another party going on down on the 1st floor so a lot of the party just relocated and didn’t actually leave. They were playing beer pong down there, talk about feeling like you were back in the day. Party 2 had a decidedly sketchier crowd so we decided to leave pretty quick.

On Satuday we hosted a little Badger party where we watched the TiVo’ed game against Indiana. No contest! We creamed ‘em 52-17. The only Hoosier in attendance (Becca, I’m looking in your general direction) seemed less than concerned. I blame her team’s pitiful performance on her lack of team spirit. We made mimosas and toasted to our good Badger friends Ben and Tosha on their recent engagement. The wedding will be held in Madison next September and the festivities will involve going to a game! They are so awesome.

Also, check it out! Our QB Stocco was named Big Ten Player of the Week.

Woooooo, Badgers!

Some of you may remember that I did the AIDS Walk last year.

Well, it’s that time again! Please clicky on the AIDS Walk icon over there in the sidebar to go to my personal fundraising page where you can learn more about this really important event.

I am leaving for my sister’s wedding in Wisco on Friday! I can’t believe this came up so fast, I have much to do this week.

Today is Yom Kippur, or the Day of Atonement. As you can see, I am blogging, and eating and working today, so not so much observing. Which is probably ok since I’m not actually Jewish. But to those of you who are hope you’re having an easy fast and g’mar hatima tova.
